A propos du CD pirate avec Ray Gillen et Jeff Fenholt 'Eternal Stars', je ne pense pas que ce dernier dispose de quelque chose de nouveau sur le plan musical. Ce n'est qu'une maigre version des CDs déjà dispo sur le marché, en version moins compléte. De plus le prix de vente semble quand même prohibitif. Bref, un nouveau pirate visiblement en version 'silver' sans plus.

DIO SOLO!
Pendant que Tony Iommi va se remettre en forme, Ronnie James va enfoncer le clou de sa popularité en Europe, avec une bonne tournée, puisque cette dernière commence à prendre une belle ampleur. Pas moins de 14 concerts ! L'Angleterre, la Belgique, la Hollande, l'Allemagne (of course!) et même un tour en Norvége! La France ne sera pas de la partie (!). Pour les fans de l'agglomération lilloise il reste ANVERS! La salle est excellente et l'ambiance toujours branchée chez nos amis Belges.
Une perspective de collectionner les bootlegs! Ronnie ne tient pas en place! Et l'occasion était trop belle pour lui, de rappeler qu'il peut tourner sans cesse! Il pourrait même proposer un tour spécial 'RAINBOW' en effet si Joe Lynn Turner, pense être le représentant vivant de RAINBOW, Ronnie pourrait le mettre KO debout! Mais ne rêvons pas, je ne pense pas que cela puisse se réaliser un jour, réactiver DIO c'est une bonne chose durant cette période sabbatique pour Iommi.

Je ne suis pas là pour en tirer des conclusions, je ne connais aucun autre blog sur 'Oldiblog'! La seule chose que je puisse dire, même si le groupe n'est pas le sujet prioritaire des français ( Crise, H1N1, Secret Story....) Vous n'êtes pas le seul à suivre les aventures de Iommi & Co! La réalisation du blog, est composée sur une vieille maquette, qui ne permet pas toutes les fantaisies et créations, l'offre de mise en page est ultra limitée, mais je vais faire de la résistance pour rester sur 'Oldiblog' et ne pas basculer sur 'Kazéo'. Kazéo étant maintenant le propriétaire de Oldiblog, mais je ne trouve pas leur nouvelle version pratique.
Ce blog reste une 'centrale' des news sur nos artistes fétiches. Il faut chercher l'info, rien n'arrive le matin dans ma boîte aux lettres, je dois sans cesse traquer 'la nouvelle'. Et ce, sur le temps libre qu'il me reste, je n'ai rien à gagner dans cette affaire, c'est juste le plaisir de partager l'info. Alors, je rédige parfois tard le soir, au taf, durant la pause, bref, souvent dans l'urgence. Ce n'est pas un exercice de style, ni même un dico Sabbathique. Alors, à l'heure du parlé SMS, je tente de sauver un peu les meubles, même si je n'ai souvent pas le temps de me relire. Et entre nous, je ne pense pas que Bernard Pivot soit très branché Black Sabbath, ce qui évite de trop complexer pour une bonne rédaction!
J'ai mis hier sur le blog une photo d'un bootleg de Black Sabbath enregistré à Paris en 70, ce fameux concert qui existe sous une multitude de versions aussi bien en LP, CD, DVD et même en officiel! Malheureusement, je ne dispose d'aucun élément complémentaire sur son origine, année de sortie... c'est le flou total sur ce bootleg.
L'aspect donne l'impression que ce dernier date de la grande époque des LPs bootlegs de Sabbath, les années 80 voire 70. Mais pour moi, il ne fait pas grand doute que cette réalisation est récente. J'ai encore vu ce W-E à Bruxelles une 'nouvelle' version en LP, pochette noire, avec un papier de 15cm X 10 environ en N&B collé sur le haut gauche, avec la location, date, titres...en indication, un très léger design sur ce papier en guise de présentation, aucune photo de grp, ou autre dessin, bref, une des versions les + cheap à ce jour, white label.
Bref, pas terrible. En outre cette version que j'ai déniché sur Ebay, propose un aspect très Black Sabbath, l'effet au dos de la tour Eiffel est réussi, mais le seul hic, est son prix totalement prohibitif! Cela sonne quand même un peu l'arnaque, d'autant que c'est toujours le même concert proposé! Je crois que cette bande son, va encore inspirer les bootlegers durant des années! Et ce ne sera pas le dernier bootlegs à voir le jour sous la mention PARIS 70. Même si une enquête est toujours d'actualité pour savoir si ce show ne dispose pas d'une partie finalement enregistrée à Bruxelles durant la même période, le doute plane. Souvenez-vous de la vidéo (puisque c'est la bande son qui est utilisée pour toutes les versions) qui mentionne la TV belge, avec une équipe belge également chargée de la prise de son et de l'image!

DIO's "Killing The Dragon" album from 2002 was released in June on limited-edition vinyl with a gatefold pop-up cover via Night Of The Vinyl Dead. Only 500 hand-numbered copies were manufactured. "Killing The Dragon" was originally released by Spitfire Records. DIO's "The Very Beast of Dio" was officially certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America ( RIAA) on March 11, 2009 for shipments in the United States in excess of 500,000 copies. Issued in October 2000, "The Very Beast of Dio" is the second greatest-hits collection CD — and the first to be released in the U.S. — from the Ronnie James Dio-fronted band. DIO's last release was the "Holy Diver Live" CD, featuring a performance of the classic "Holy Diver" album in its entirety, from start to finish, recorded live for the very first time in 2005 in front of a sold-out London crowd. It also includes, among others, "Heaven & Hell", "Sign of the Southern Cross" and "Mob Rules" from vocalist Ronnie James Dio's BLACK SABBATH days, "Tarot Woman", "Man on the Silver Mountain" and "Long Live Rock 'N' Roll" from the RAINBOW era and "We Rock" from his solo career. Video footage of DIO's May 30, 2008 performance in Oslo, Norway can be viewed below.

Damian of the unofficial BLACK SABBATH web site Black-Sabbath.com interviewed several fans at the final date of HEAVEN & HELL's North American tour on August 29 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The fans spoke about the band, how far they've come to see the show, how many times they've seen the group, etc. Watch the three-minute clip below. The management for HEAVEN & HELL vocalist Ronnie James Dio released a statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET on August 27 in an attempt to "quash any rumors that [the group] have broken up." The statement read in part, "[ HEAVEN & HELL guitarist] Tony Iommi has to have surgery on his hand and [needs] some down time for recovery. Therefore DIO [the band] will be performing some dates in the U.K. and Europe in November/December during this time off. HEAVEN & HELL are already making plans for dates next year." In a recent interview with The Aquarian Weekly, Iommi stated about his upcoming surgery, "I've got to have an operation on my hand, and that's sort of a major thing I need to get done and I've been putting it off now. Chers fans du Sabbat noir, merci pour vos visites permanentes cet été sur mon modeste blog. La période des vacances touche cette fois à sa fin, la rentrée ce jeudi! Mais ce qui me fait plaisir, c'est votre fidélité même durant ce mois d'août avec encore plus de visites qu'en juillet! L'actu de la rentrée risque d'être un peu plus creuse pour Heaven and Hell, mais je vais évoquer quelques sujets divers et variés sur notre groupe fétiche et ses membres.
HEAVEN AND HELL LAST SHOW 29 AUGUST.
La tournée 'The Devil You Know' est terminée, ce samedi dernier, c'était le final! Nous pouvons même avec certitude annoncer la fin des concerts de H&H en 2009. Il faudra donc, attendre la tournée DIO annoncée pour Novembre, line-up encore inconnu. Iommi va pour sa part se faire opérer, puis certainement se reposer d'une période intense. Il ne faut pas oublier quand même que cet été est particuliérement chaud, et dans les salles de concerts, il fallait tenir! Mais je suis confiant sur un retour en 2010 de Heaven and Hell.

The management for HEAVEN & HELL/ DIO vocalist Ronnie James Dio released a statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET on August 27 in an attempt to "quash any rumors that HEAVEN & HELL have broken up." The statement read in part, "[ HEAVEN & HELL guitarist] Tony Iommi has to have surgery on his hand and [needs] some down time for recovery. Therefore DIO will be performing some dates in the U.K. and Europe in November/December during this time off. HEAVEN & HELL are already making plans for dates next year." In a recent interview with The Aquarian Weekly, Iommi stated about his upcoming surgery, "I've got to have an operation on my hand, and that's sort of a major thing I need to get done and I've been putting it off now. So we're going to have some time off while I get that done. That'll be a bit of a break, I think. Not for everybody, but it'll be some time off from touring for me for sure." When asked what happened to his hand, Iommi replied, "The cartilage is gone from the thumb in my fingering hand. It's been like that now, to be honest, for a year and I've been taking anti-inflammatories and all sorts of stuff to try and calm it down, but it's inevitable I've got to have the operation because the bone is rubbing on the bone. Funny enough, I talked to Eddie Van Halen this morning, because he's had the same sort of problem, so I'm seeing him to have a chat about what happened to him. He thinks it's very successful, so we'll see." HEAVEN & HELL was forced to cancel its June 21 appearance at the Metalway Festival in Zaragoza, Spain due to back pain suffered by Iommi.

TOO LATE....
Great song!! Ray is great as always, Cozy sounds great, and Tony Franklyn sounds magnificent! But I can't hear John Syke'sguitar... Maybe in backing vocals... It's doesn't sound like a JS song. But who cares, is a fantastic song and it could be very succesfull.
